Maggie Bove-LaMonica, Assistant Director
Since the spring of 2009, Maggie has been responsible for research and implementing polices that support the Family of Schools. Many of her projects work to identify the root causes and polices that potentially prevent stakeholders from implementing reform and building relationships to affect academic achievement.
A graduate of the Master of Public Policy program at the Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago, and the School of Education at Loyola Marymount's Masters in Education program, Maggie's professional career has always been involved in the field of education. She began her teaching career as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Morocco, and then moved to South Central Los Angeles to teach at Verbum Dei High School. Her commitment and passion remain to fix the inequity and inequality in education among populations that differ by economic strata, ethnicity, and location.
