Welcome to your Senior Year, Class of 2017!

 

Check this page for important deadlines and information about upcoming events.

 

The Class of 2017 Schedule of Activities and Deadlines can be found in the locker under the Senior Class tab.  On the WESM webpage, scroll down to the bottom left column or click on the Campus Life tab at the top center of the screen. 

 

The locker includes Activities Package Price List, the Herff Jones Graduation Package Price List, the Senior Contract and the Portfolio.  All are downloadable and printable.

Prom Guest Contracts available for pick up from Ms. Gonzales in Room D6.  Pick up only during lunch or nutrition. 

You must have purchased your guest ticket in order to pick up a Prom Guest Contract. 

     Friday, May 12th, 2017

Deadline to submit Prom Guest Contract to Ms. Gonzales. 

 

If you do not submit a guest contract by this date, you will not be allowed to bring a guest.

Prom -  7:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.

Security Check in ends at 9:00 p.m.

Doors close at 9:00 p.m. – No late admittance

 

All guests must depart the event at 12:15 a.m.

    Ceremony begins at 6:00 p.m.

    Tickets will be distributed at the Friday      rehearsal.  Student will pick up cap and gown at Friday rehearsal.

FORMAL DANCE SECURITY POLICY WESM SENIOR PROM 2017

To help ensure the safety of all attendees and to protect the facility of any vandalism, The Event Group will provide a licensed & bonded security company to do the light pat downs for male students & purse checks for female students prior to entering the facility.

 

Please inform the students prior to the event that the following items will be confiscated:

 

Alcohol / Flasks Glow in the Dark Items Sharp Objects All Tobacco Products Lighters / Matches Water Bottles Any Illegal Substance Markers Wallet Chains Canes & Zoot Chains Pens & Pencils Weapons Gum / Open Mint Containers Containers w/ a screw-on cap or lid including perfume/cologne bottles.

 

Any item/s that can be used as a weapon (certain keychains, phone chargers, wires,earphones, etc.).

 

All items taken from the students will be placed in a box and given to the school administrator in charge of the evening. It will be left to the discretion of the school administrator to either return the items or dispose of them.

 

The list of items to be confiscated is subject to change.

 

The Event Group will notify you of any revisions should the facility make any amendments to its security policy.

 

It is the responsibility of the school administration and chaperones to ensure that the students act appropriately.

 

Any student determined by The Event Group staff to be acting unruly or under the influence of alcohol or any illegal substance will be turned over to the school administration and will be asked to leave the facility.

 

At the conclusion of the contracted event time, all of The Event Group staff and security will depart facility. It is the school’s responsibility to ensure all students are safely off the premises.

 

Students must be picked up at the event location by 12:15 a.m.

 

GRADUATION CEREMONY RULES AND REGULATIONS

GRADUATION RULES AND REGULATIONS

  • I will settle all outstanding debts, including detention, textbooks, and any delinquencies before I pick up my cap and gown.
  • I will complete the entire Senior Portfolio in order to participate in the graduation ceremony.
  • I will meet attendance, conduct, graduation, and academic requirements, WESM and LAUSD policies.
  • I will dress appropriately and according to the guidelines set forth by the graduation committee.
  • Ladies: Attire that is too short or revealing is unacceptable. No denim or tennis shoes.
  • Gentlemen: Long trousers, long sleeve, collared shirts w/tie. No denim or tennis shoes.
  • I will NOT DISRUPT the graduation ceremony. I will remain seated and be courteous.
  • I will NOT participate in any activities before, during, or after the ceremony which may be detrimental to the school, other students, or me, including senior pranks.
  • I will NOT alter my cap and gown in any manner. The only exception will be for students who wish to decorate the top of their cap with the emblem of the college/university that they will attend. Designs must be approved in advance by the senior class sponsor.
  • I will attend all mandatory graduation practices and behave appropriately. I understand that I am required to attend the ENTIRE REHEARSAL SCHEDULE AND THAT LEAVING EARLY IS NOT ALLOWED.
  • I acknowledge that participation in the commencement exercise is a privilege not a right.

PLEASE NOTE:  ALL GRADUATION RULES AND REGULATIONS ARE EXCERPTED FROM THE SENIOR CONTRACT WHICH ALL SENIORS ARE REQUIRED TO SIGN. 

 

NO BALLOON OR FLORAL BOUQUETS ALLOWED INTO CEREMONY
