    Admissions and Enrollment Process
    Westchester is a full magnet high school and all students wishing to enroll in our school must apply through the Choices application process. The Application Window for the 2019-20 school year is currently open. We are accepting applications through echoices.lausd.net.The application deadline is Friday, November 9, 2018.

     

    Westchester has three magnets for parents and students to choose from:

                WESM Environmental and Natural Sciences Magnet (1894310)
                WESM Gifted/Highly Gifted STEAM Magnet (1894309)

    Students: Changing your Schoology Password

    Every six months students will need to reset their Schoology password. In order to do that you need your student ID number, your birthdate and a four digit PIN number. The PIN number can be obtained from your Period 2 teacher. Once you have those, click on the link below for step by step instructions. (Thank you Mr. McCluskey for your help!)

    A completed and approved guest form must be turned in to purchase a guest ticket! (Pick one up in D3)
    ALL GUESTS MUST HAVE CURRENT STUDENT ID TO ENTER THE DANCE!
    Dress Code
    This is a semi-formal event
    1. Ladies wear dressy dresses or nice two-piece skirt/pants outfit./spaghetti straps are allowed. Dress/skirts must be at least fingertip length. Slits no higher than fingertip length, no garters or other exposed lingerie/undergarments. No sheer/see-through dresses, no see-through sides or bare sides. No excessively low cut dresses or tops. All clothing must be suited to a high school activity.   
    2. Gentlemen wear slacks, dress shirt, and a tie is optional. and ties are recommended, collared dress shirt or polo. Shirts must have sleeves and no inappropriate writing or logos. Please wear dress pants or slacks; no jeans.
    Alumni News

    Congratulations to the following Alumni and their accomplishments!!!!

    ROXANNA PAKKAR '16

    She is currently interning at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena and will be entering her third year at USC with a full scholarship as a Mork Family Scholar. Roxanna is also a research assistant in USC's Interaction Lab  as a Viterbi Merit Research Fellow and does community outreach as a counselor in USC's longest run student organization, Troy Camp. 

     

    AMIR WRIGHT '16

    He is currently spending his summer interning in Washington, D.C. at the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation and the Office of U.S. Senator Cory Booker. He will be entering his 3rd year at UC Berkeley. Since October 2017, Amir has served as his Berkeley City Council Member's appointment to the City Housing Advisory Commission.  In April, Amir was elected to the Senate in the campus government, the Associated Students of the University of California.  Amir also participated in several lobbying trips to Sacramento to seek funding from the state legislature for the UC system, which was recently granted in the form of a $105M budget increase for the system and an additional $25M for the Berkeley campus.
