Principal's Message

On behalf of the faculty and staff, I would like to welcome you to the 2020-21 school year!

We are committed to meeting the needs of all students through rigorous, standards-based instruction anchored in a positive, engaging and student-centered learning environment.

We understand the importance of embracing the whole child and will continue developing multi-tiered systems of support and implementing social emotional learning activities to foster a stronger sense of community and social emotional well-being.

In 2019-20, we experienced a series of unprecedented events such as the closure of schools due to COVID-19 and the senseless killings of black Americans like Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor and George Floyd that remind us about the longstanding institutional racism, marginalization and social injustice that exists in all aspects of our society.  This year I will convene a task force with representation from all stakeholder groups to begin dicussions about ways to address systemic bias, racial/ethnic disparities and help close equity gaps that exist within our school.

Teaching and learning in a virtual learning environment will require increased communication and collaboration by everyone within our school community.  I want to encourage you to get involved and stay informed.  Feel free to email me if you have questions or suggestions on how to better serve our students and families.  I also recommend that you visit our website on a regular basis and follow our social media accounts:

I look forward to an exciting and productive school year in service to our students, families and staff.
